Dedicated $2.4M to our Strategic Plan to Address Homeless - I am very proud of this because we are the only small City in the County that has taken the lead in our jurisdiction to provide resources directly to those suffering in homelessness, while still working with agency partners to identify regional resources.
$27M in road improvements including nearly $3M in new traffic signal technology.
Repaved / resealed 134 lane miles throughout our city.
Restructured our Prop L bond debt saving Vista $1M per year.
Eliminated our deficit and increased the city’s reserves from 8% to 32%
Reinstated our fourth ambulance back into service, reducing response times when Vistans need help the most.
Invested in a new ladder fire truck.
Added a Sheriff’s deputy to our station.
Crime has decreased steadily the past three years and is currently at an historic low. Vista has been named one of the 25 Safest Cities in California by Safety.com
Invested almost $13 million in park renovations and building three new parks for Vistans to enjoy, including two new skate parks.
